Need some content ideas for June?

In this episode of the Courageous Content Podcast, I’ll share four ready-to-go content ideas for June for small business owners.

You can use them as inspiration for social media posts, blogs, newsletters, podcasts (and any other content you create to promote your business).

You can listen to the podcast or read the blog version below.

Here’s the awareness dates I cover:

Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee (June 3)

If you have a service-based business, you can share how you give your customers the royal treatment, or you can prepare a royal treatment service offer for that week. If you are a product-based business, you can offer a product from your range as one fit for royalty.

Or you can ask your community what makes them feel like royalty. Not only is this a great way to get ideas on how you can improve your customer service – it may also give you some ideas for new products/services.

If you have my Courageous Content Planner the former is an example of a news/trends post. It could also work as an inspire style post. The latter would be a community style post.

(Join the Platinum Jubilee conversation by sharing your events, activities, tributes and creativity using the hashtags #PlatinumJubilee and #HM70 and tagging @DCMS on Twitter or @dcmsgovuk on Instagram and Facebook.)

Best Friends Day (June 8)

This is the perfect opportunity to run a ‘recommend a friend’ offer for your product/service. Create a 1+1 offer and/or share a relevant personal story/experience to go alongside it.

Asking questions about friendship is also a great way to to get conversations going with your community.

Sharing a personal story/experience is typically ‘inspire’ content. Asking questions about friends is ‘community’ style content – which is often particularly effective in Facebook groups,on and in Instagram Stories. This kind of content can also work well on LinkedIn on Twitter – but does work as well on your Instagram Grid.

World Productivity Day (June 20)

This is a great day to share a tip on how to stay productive throughout the day/week. Or you can share an app that saves you time and/or helps you get things done.

Maybe you’ve helped a client/customer get more productive? This is a great opportunity to share a testimonial.
If you have my Courageous Content Planner the former could work as an ‘educate’ post. News/trends posts need to be timely/relevant – which is why it makes sense to publish this post on World Productivity Day. But there’s no reason why you can’t republish a post like this as an educate style post on another date. Testimonials are ‘inspire’ content – as they’re about inspiring your audience to buy from you.

Social Media Day (June 30)

Share social media accounts you love to follow. Or something you love/hate about social media.

If you have my Courageous Content Planner this could work as a ‘news/trends’ post or as an ‘educate’ post. It’s easy to create ‘community’ posts on this theme. Just ask people what they love/hate about social media or who they love to follow.
